Dr Ross Boyd
It was a visit to the local Osteopath after a football injury that initially sparked Ross’ interest to pursue a career in Osteopathy. After completing his studies at Victoria University in 2003, Ross worked in several clinics across Melbourne before he establishing two clinics with Kara in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
As the human body is a highly complex and specialised unit, Ross believes when one component is not working well it will undoubtedly have flow on effects to other parts of the body. Through a combined understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and many years of clinical experience, Ross identifies and corrects underlying dysfunctions that often cause pain and limitations.
Ross uses a structural approach in his treatment style, particularly with joint manipulative techniques of the spine and peripheral joints such as the foot, ankle, knee and elbow. He has undertaken further studies in dry needling and shockwave therapy which he uses as conjunctive treatment techniques.
Today Ross enjoys keeping fit and active with HIIT group fitness and runs along the coastline. He regularly treats members of many fitness studios not only for injury management but also for injury prevention and optimal performance.
Always up for a good chat and laugh, Ross values the close relationship he develops with his patients. His weekends are spent entertaining his 2 daughters, exploring the Tweed Valley and beautiful surrounding coastline.

Dr Kara rosker
Kara has practiced Osteopathy since 2002 after graduating from Victoria University, with an additional degree in Women’s Health Medicine from UNSW focusing on antenatal care. Kara has a special interest in the treatment of babies and children; having completed extensive postgraduate studies in Cranial and Biodynamic Osteopathy, as well as Paediatric Nutrition. Kara has been recognised and certified by her profession as an Advanced Paediatric Osteopath. She is also a qualified Orofacial Myologist and able to assess airways, identify tongue tie and prescribe any necessary oral exercises. She will often work in conjunction with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants and Dental Surgeons.
Kara’s expertise lies in the subtle treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in babies such as plagiocephaly, torticollis, feeding dysfunctions and associated colic or unsettledness. She stresses the importance of tummy time and works with parents to achieve this alongside other important milestones such as rolling, crawling and reflex integration.
Kara is passionate about nutrition and whole foods, recognising the massive impact these can have on optimal health and wellbeing especially for women and children. She stresses the importance of nourishment throughout pregnancy and beyond to achieve the best health possible for the entire family. Kara thoroughly enjoys cooking nutritious meals for her family, especially packing wholesome school lunches.
At home Kara loves spending time with her husband and two girls, going for long runs with their German Pointer and weekends away with friends and family.
